Process

The T. L. Hill Group works with your organization’s leaders to advance the mission-driven initiatives of your choice. Whether you are designing a long-term strategy with national reach or need thoughtful analysis and completion of a written report within a short time frame, the T. L. Hill Group works with you to assess your needs and help design innovative solutions for achieving your organization’s desired results.

 

The T. L. Hill Group process is simple.  It does, however, require a commitment of organizational leadership.  The process is guided by five basic steps outlined during initial discussions to produce a preliminary scope of work and budget.

Step One
Design a Results Framework

  • Clarify the scope and scale of work your organization seeks to accomplish.

  • Determine your desired results.

  • Identify interim milestones for achieving your desired results by outlining specific objectives, tasks, deliverables, a timeline, and estimated costs.

  • Assess fund development and sustainability needs for achieving your desired results.

  • Modify and refine the scope of work to reach final agreement on how the T. L. Hill Group will support your organization’s efforts.

Step Two
Identify Extent of Issues

  • Your organization can tap multiple sources of information for better exploring and understanding how issues of race, ethnicity, and culture might be addressed.  The T. L. Hill Group will recommend informational resources.

  • You may want to partner with firms that bring expertise in diversity and inclusion or other solutions as appropriate. We are able to suggest others whose expertise will fit your needs.

Step Three
Develop Solutions

  • As your organization engages with others in a variety of ways as needed to gather information, the T. L. Hill Group is available to assist by:​
        - facilitating meetings with staff members and partners
       -  conducting internal and external interviews
       -  convening focus groups with key stakeholders
       -  completing literature reviews and environmental scans
       -  reviewing relevant public policies at the local, state, and federal levels, as well as internationally.

  • The T. L. Hill Group is able to support your organization’s leaders with ongoing effective partnership management as needed.

Step Four
Select Evaluation Methods

  • Your organization’s leaders and staff members will need to select appropriate data, measures, and indicators of success.

 

  • We are able to assist with the selection processs within your organization as well as recommend research and evaluation firms that would be strong partners and/or advisors.

Step Five
Analyze, Write, & Report

  • Your organization has learned valuable lessons that can help improve our understanding of what works and what does not work.

 

  • We will work with you and your team members to complete a thorough analysis of lessons learned and to recommend how the field at-large might benefit from your organization’s lessons.

 

  • The T. L. Hill Group will produce written reports that document your organization’s learning, thereby making it available to others in the field.
